Description
This George Balabushka American Pool Cue No.7 has a Professional quality Canadian maple shaft, pro taper, high impact ivorine ferrule, high quality white Irish linen wrap with black specks, Le Prof tip & signature.
This classic cue has a natural-stained birdseye maple forearm with 4 spliced ebony chevrons with maple, rosewood & ebony veneers and is inset with 4 ivorine diamond inlays. The ebony butt sleeve contains X-shaped maple patterned inlays. The sleeve is offset with 4 ivorine diamond inlays bracketed by 2 triple rings of maple & rosewood. With a brushed stainless steel pilot joint which is bracketed by 2 thick nickel silver rings.
Balabushka featured in Martin Scorcese's 1986 film ‘The Color of Money' (the sequel to the 1961 film 'The Hustler'). Tom Cruise is given a beautiful cue by Paul Newman and told, “It’s a Balabushka”, a scene that made the name Balabushka synonymous with top quality pool cues.
