Description
This absolutely stunning 1957 Rock-Ola 1455 will undergo a complete strip down and rebuild leaving nothing to chance, and as a result she will perform as well today as the day she left the factory over half a century ago.
The 1455 holds 100 x 45rpm records providing a total of 200 selections and in common with most jukeboxes of the period you can enjoy the theatre of watching the records being selected from the carousel before being lightly placed on the fully visible turntable by a mechanical arm. This particular model has an additional party trick though, in the form of a 5 sided rotating drum which displays different sets of selection cards at the touch of a button.
The 1455 was Rock-ola's first 200 selection jukebox and offered models of the same era some stiff competition. It was considerably smaller and lighter than its rivals thanks to its ferris wheel record basket configuration. Equally impressive was the sound quality, which was achieved through the use of two 12 inch bass speakers in conjunction with a small high frequency horn.
