Description
Our Original 1962 Rock-Ola Princess Jukebox is the epitome of retro charm. A cherished model from the heyday of jukebox culture and hand-built by the esteemed Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation, this timeless model embodies 1960s design, with vibrant hues and gleaming chrome accents.
The Rock-Ola Princess was first released in 1962, in the Silver Age of Jukeboxes. Holding up to 50 records (100 selections), it sports a visible mechanism and is one of the last visible mech jukeboxes of the era.
The Princess is well-known as being the smallest free-standing model of these visible mechanism jukeboxes, with 8,500 of them produced. They are consistently one of the most popular vintage jukeboxes that we restore.
The Princess is manufactured by Rock-Ola, the last remaining of the 'Big Four' American jukebox manufacturers.
All of our vintage products are sourced to order and restored in our workshops in Surrey by our talented in-house team.
We offer a grade A1 restoration as standard. We do not use a 'restoration checklist' as every component is checked and refurbished as part of our uncompromising refurbishment process.
We are thorough and comprehensive throughout and are striving to deliver a machine that is near to how it came out of the factory. All of our restoration work is guaranteed by our one-year on-site parts and labour warranty.
The Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation, founded in 1927 by David C. Rockola, initially gained prominence for manufacturing coin-operated mechanical musical instruments, including jukeboxes, pinball machines, and slot machines. In the 1930s and 1940s, Rock-Ola became a leading player in the jukebox industry with the introduction of innovative models such as the Rock-Ola Luxury Light-Up, setting new standards in design and functionality.
Throughout the mid-20th century, Rock-Ola continued to innovate, introducing iconic models like the Princess and Tempo series, known for their distinctive designs and superior sound quality. Throughout the rest of the 20th century, Rock-Ola remained a respected name in the industry, catering to both commercial and residential markets with its range of classic and modern jukebox designs.
Today, Rock-Ola continues to produce jukeboxes that blend vintage charm with modern technology, appealing to collectors, enthusiasts, and music lovers worldwide.
