Description

The classic 'Evolution' table by Sulpie is synonymous with French pride in design, and as the company's been going since 1959 you can rest assured that their tables are built to the highest possible standards. Its enduring popularity over more than fifty years in continental bars and clubs is a testament to its timeless style and lasting quality. As any self respecting foosball player knows, Sulpie tables are quite simply an enduring part of France's cultural heritage.

Still made near the famous French region of Cognac, the Evolution is of solid beech construction, with a strong cabinet that sports a rounded edge to give it a classic look with a retro angle. The telescopic stainless steel bars are outfitted with shock springs and sculpted round handles. The players they support are made of die-cast metal, and can be painted in a selection of team colours. Its bar-room origins are still noticeable, embodied in its built-in ashtrays. The playfield is crafted with sloped corners, preventing the ball from rolling to a stop in a dreaded ‘dead zone’.

Unlike rival tables the Sulpie models are all made in solid beech. The wood used comes from forests managed in an eco-sustainable way, and each piece taken is subjected to a rigorous selection process with specific regard to its grain in order to ensure a consistent finish. Stainless steel has been substitued for chrome throughout the entire production process in order to reduce the company's ecological footprint.

This model is one of several versions available which have a distinctive varnish applied to the cabinet. Unlike the plain beech version, all the models in this series have trim and detailling which matches the varnish colour, thereby creating a fully coordinated statement piece. The varnish coating allows the natural wood grain to remain visible and creates a lustrous finish that really marks the table out as something special. (Note: The plain beech version of the Evolution, listed separately, is the only one that can be specified with various different trim colours.)

Superbly engineered and a joy to play, a Sulpie table is a quintessentially French cultural icon that will satisfy beginners and purists alike.

Our founder, Reginald Waldersmith, was a keen player of table football. Years of practice made him into a formidable player. The mastery of his aggressive, co-ordinated attacks and the lightning-fast reactions of his defence combined to make him legendary in the Waldersmith household, where he quickly became reigning champion. However, opponents occasionally noted this might be because he was always somewhat vague on the controversial ‘no spinning’ rule.

We’ve been selling tables since 1962, so know a thing or two about our products! Our showroom will gladly assist you on any questions you may have before or after you purchase any Games Room Company equipment.

A note on delivery and installation

Free Delivery

We are pleased to deliver any of our products free of charge anywhere in the UK but it should be noted that this is effectively a kerbside delivery and that the driver is only obliged to bring the piece to the kerb or drive closest to your door. It is therefore strongly recommended that you have the appropriate number of people on hand to take the product inside, whether it be a private or commercial address. We can of course advise on the required manpower on a case by case basis.

White glove delivery and installation Service

For an additional fee of £250.00 we will send extra personnel with the van, who will not only perform a white glove delivery service, taking the product directly to its final resting place including up stairs if necessary, but will also carry out full assembly and installation. After a thorough check of the completed piece they will depart taking any unwanted packaging with them. Please note that this does not include Cornwall or the Highlands of Scotland and our office can prepare a custom quotation for these areas if required.
