Description
Step back in time with the 1955 Seeburg V-200, a true milestone in jukebox history. Seeburg revolutionised the industry with their new mechanism capable of playing both sides of 50 records thus creating the iconic 100-select jukebox. Their innovation was so groundbreaking that it almost monopolised the market. Furthermore, in 1950, Seeburg unveiled the M100B, the first jukebox to embrace the 45 rpm records.
Throughout the 50's, Seeburg continued its dominance in jukebox production, culminating in the introduction of the V-200 in 1955, the inaugural 200-select jukebox. Its rotating title-strip drum, reminiscent of the sleek designs of cars from that era, adds to its allure and remains a captivating feature for many enthusiasts. The V-200 was met with tremendous demand upon its release and remains hugely popular today.
Experience the timeless charm of the Seeburg V-200 as we breathe new life into this classic machine for generations to come.
All of our vintage products are sourced to order and restored in our workshops in Surrey by our talented in-house team.
We offer a grade A1 restoration as standard. We do not use a 'restoration checklist' as every component is checked and refurbished as part of our uncompromising refurbishment process.
We are thorough and comprehensive throughout and are striving to deliver a machine that is near to how it came out of the factory. All of our restoration work is guaranteed by our one-year on-site parts and labour warranty.
Seeburg Corporation, founded in 1907 by Justus P. Seeburg, initially manufactured player pianos before transitioning to jukeboxes in the late 1920s. Seeburg's breakthrough came with the introduction of the Selectophone, the first jukebox to play both sides of 50 records, revolutionising the industry. Over the following decades, Seeburg continued to innovate, introducing features like the Select-O-Matic in the 1940s, which allowed users to choose individual songs, and the introduction of stereo sound in the 1960s with the introduction of the Select-O-Matic 100.
The company ceased production in 1979 but Seeburg jukeboxes remain iconic symbols of American culture, cherished by collectors and enthusiasts worldwide for their innovative designs and contribution to the history of music consumption.
Music and Title Cards Pricing
Music itself is an important part of our business, as reflected by our treasured vinyl library, so we are able to help you source and create the perfect playlist. We also make all of the title cards in original typewriter font – so if you’re a bit stuck for choice, we are only too happy to help!
The charge for vintage records is £15 + VAT per record, this covers most records however some are highly collectable for which we have to pay a premium and are charged at a higher price. The title card service is £120 + VAT for a handmade set regardless of the selection quantity.
It is quite an involved process to supply records as we buy them in from dealers or collectors, they will only guarantee the "A" side, so often many records do not pass with us because we always supply records with playable "B" sides as well as the "A".
The centres are then cut (big hole centres) which also leads to some breakage as some of the records split due to their age. Finally they are hand washed and then played both "A" and "B" side on a gramophone for sound quality, only then are they fit to go on the Jukebox. The final check is again playing "A" and "B" side as you would hear it on your Jukebox.
It's all about delivering good quality sound for our clients and if you are investing in a vinyl jukebox the standard of the records have to demonstrate the high standard of our restorations.
