The process is similar to laser cutting but by using water, which takes somewhat longer, we can achieve an accuracy that wouldn’t be possible otherwise. (Lasers create intense heat which discolours and distorts the metal, especially in areas of fine detail)

The next stage involves fine polishing and spraying, before the programmable LED lights are added to back. 

The artwork has special mountings which separate it from the wall by a few centimetres, thereby creating the full 3D effect and allowing the subtly shifting colours to glow as if from within. The desired lighting effect can be achieved using a hand held remote control and the whole system can be mains or battery powered.
